The Herreshoff H28 Association was formed in the 1970s. Its prime focus is the enjoyment of owning and sailing H28s. Our membership is spread across Australia.
The office bearers and committee of the Association organise an annual calendar of events. These are of a diverse nature and intended to appeal to those who enjoy:
≈ Cruising to meet at a destination
≈ Cruising in company
≈ Racing – (Sailmaster Series, and joining in the CYAA Summer & Winter Series)
≈ Racing – Novelty/ Social races
≈ Family days cruising & socialising
≈ Getting together with other owners
≈ The restoration & maintenance of H28's
In addition to the Sailmaster Series Trophy, the Association annually awards its Cruisers Trophy, to a member who has undertaken a noteworthy activity other than racing.
Members are kept informed via the H28 Association newsletter. Up to three newsletters are produced each year. Members can contribute articles, have requests for assistance or information published, as well as use the newsletter to advertise their boats free of charge.
